Creatine Straws - The Fastest Way to Take Creatine?

Creatine Straws - The Fastest Way to Take Creatine?

Four Sips, About 20 Seconds: Our Latest Creatine Straw Test Results

One of the biggest challenges in developing a new creatine delivery format isn't simply fitting an effective dose into the product. The real challenge is ensuring that dose releases quickly, consistently, and in a way that is convenient for the person using it.  This is an issue that has plagued the infused drinking straw business for years.  But we have developed a superior solution.

Our latest testing produced results we are very pleased to share.

In recent internal experiments, we simulated normal sipping through our creatine straws using approximately 150 milliliters of water. During these tests, nearly all of the creatine-containing material inside the straw was released and dissolved within approximately 20 seconds.

In practical terms, that represented roughly four small sips through the straw.

That is an important milestone for us because it demonstrates what we have been working toward since the beginning: delivering a meaningful amount of creatine in a format that is fast, simple, portable, and easy to use.

Why Rapid Release Matters

Traditional creatine products work well, but the user experience has changed relatively little over the years. Most consumers still measure powder into a glass, mix it into a beverage, use a shaker bottle, or buy individually packaged servings that still need to be opened and mixed.

Our goal with the creatine straw is different - We want to make taking creatine super easy.

The straw itself becomes the delivery system. A consumer places the straw into water or another compatible beverage and drinks normally through it. As liquid passes through the straw, the internal creatine formulation is released into the beverage stream.

Our latest test suggests that this process can happen extremely quickly.

Using only 150 milliliters of water, nearly all of the straw contents were released during approximately 20 seconds of simulated sipping. While individual drinking patterns will naturally vary, the test gives us a useful indication of how rapidly the system can deliver its contents under normal-use conditions.

For a consumer, the concept is simple: insert the straw, sip, and consume the creatine.

No scooping. No measuring. No shaker bottle. No powder container sitting on the kitchen counter.

Developing a Better Consumer Experience

Convenience may sound like a small improvement, but in nutritional products, convenience can play a major role in whether people actually use a product consistently.

Creatine is a particularly interesting ingredient because consumers generally take it repeatedly over long periods. Anything that makes that daily routine simpler can improve the overall user experience.

That has been one of our primary development objectives.

We have worked extensively on the relationship between ingredient loading, internal coating structure, dissolution, flow through the straw, flavor, and the physical characteristics of the finished product. The result is a straw that can carry a substantial creatine dose while still functioning as something familiar to virtually every consumer: a drinking straw.

We continue to refine the technology through repeated production trials and real-world use simulations. The approximately 20-second release result is one of the most encouraging data points we have generated so far.

Commercial Production Has Begun

There is another milestone we are equally excited to announce.

We have now begun production of creatine straws for selected white-label customers at our Los Angeles, California production location.

This represents an important transition for the technology. What began as a product-development project has moved into actual commercial manufacturing.

We are currently working with selected brands on creatine straw programs that may include different flavor profiles, product positioning, packaging formats, and complementary ingredients.

Our existing development work has included plain creatine as well as flavors such as lemon, cherry, and grape. The platform also gives brands considerable flexibility to explore other familiar beverage-style flavors depending on the intended consumer and product concept.

We believe that flexibility is important. Some brands may want the simplest possible product focused entirely on creatine. Others may want to develop a more differentiated formulation designed for a particular demographic, lifestyle, or nutritional positioning.

A New Format for a Familiar Ingredient

Creatine is not new.

We're changing how consumers take it.

Putting a full creatine serving into a lightweight, portable drinking straw creates a very different product experience than a tub of powder, scoop, sachet, gummy, or ready-to-drink beverage.

Our recent testing reinforces our belief that the format can also be remarkably fast.

Approximately four small sips. About 20 seconds. Only 150 milliliters of water.  No company has been able to crack the infused-lining dissolving curve in this way, but at Lelantos, our tech has unlocked something new and exciting.

For us, that is a very encouraging result, and we wanted to share the progress as we move from development into commercial production.

We are currently discussing additional white-label and private-label creatine straw programs with qualified brands. Companies interested in learning more about the technology, available flavors, customization options, or production opportunities are invited to contact us.
